Credit Control & International Relations Officer

In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring our global client portfolio, with a strong focus on credit and risk management. You will maintain close contact with clients, primarily in Africa and Latin America, and ensure professional and constructive communication regarding outstanding invoices and ongoing cases.

You will monitor financial agreements with clients, closely track payments and analyse risks when entering into new contracts. Through your regular contact, you will build a good working relationship
with clients, whilst at the same time safeguarding the company’s interests. Thanks to your language skills, communication skills and analytical insight, you contribute to the accurate and efficient management of our international client portfolio.

Responsibilities

Coordination and monitoring of client files and commercial agreements
Support with internal monitoring of client limits, outstanding invoices and commercial risks
Proactive communication with clients and partners in various regions
Analysis of companies and customers for creditworthiness and financial risk
Collaboration with the Trading team and Finance to establish the appropriate structure and practices for credit control

Profile

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics or finance
You speak English, Dutch and French; knowledge of Spanish is a strong asset
Strong communication skills and the assertiveness required to engage with clients
Strong analytical skills and an interest in financial analysis and risk management
