Sustainability Report 2025

Discover how Reuse Trading is building a more sustainable future in emerging markets, from responsible sourcing to reducing our environmental footprint.

Sustainability goals

Our team identified four key sustainability pillars during a dedicated meeting, focusing on areas where Reuse Trading can have the most significant impact:

Purchase responsibly

We undertake to promote ethical behavior and tackle issues of environmental protection, human rights, health & safety all along the supply chain. We can then ensure that people and the natural environment are treated with the respect they deserve.

Sell products we trust

We have a responsibility towards our customers to provide the best quality there is. Since trust comes from knowledge, we want to be fully transparent about our products with a proper due diligence approach.

Care for stakeholder satisfaction

We are dedicated to ensuring a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace. Our team’s wellbeing is our biggest commitment as well as our stakeholder’s satisfaction. We also work with local communities in areas where we operate to create a positive social impact.

Reduce company’s eco-footprint

As part of our drive for eco-efficiency, we aim to significantly reduce our energy consumption, travel, and transport. We also aim to commit to sustainable packaging solutions. We aim to reduce our eco-footprint in every possible area.

These sustainability pillars are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Responsible sourcing and product transparency support SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production. Our commitment to employee wellbeing contributes to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. Reducing our environmental footprint supports SDG 13 – Climate Action.

Responsible Consumption and Production

We recognize that our global network of suppliers and logistics partners are essential to our operations. We therefore prioritize responsible sourcing, transparent partnerships, and careful supplier selection to uphold high standards of sustainability, ethics, and accountability throughout its supply chain. We aim to partner with companies that share our values regarding environmental responsibility, fair labor conditions, and integrity.

To ensure transparency, all potential new suppliers are required to complete our Know Your Supplier (KYS) questionnaire.

Moreover at Reuse Trading, strong governance forms the foundation of our sustainable business model. We believe that transparent decision-making, ethical conduct, and accountability at every level of the organization are essential to maintaining trust among our stakeholders.

Our framework integrates sustainability into strategic and operational decisions, and promotes an open dialogue with employees, suppliers and customers to ensure our practices align with evolving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) expectations.

We maintain a Code of Conduct that defines our expectations for integrity, anti-corruption, fair competition, and respect for human rights.

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Diversity and inclusion are our core strengths. We promote equal opportunities, fair working conditions, and a respectful, collaborative culture where every employee has a voice.

Reuse Trading emphasizes sustainable and efficient energy management throughout our office operations. One of our key initiatives is the integration of solar energy, which significantly reduces our environmental footprint. Additionally, our company fleet consists entirely of electric vehicles, reflecting our commitment to sustainable mobility. We are currently calculating our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as part of our commitment to better understand and manage our environmental impact. As part of this process, we are also working to gain clearer insight into the emissions associated with our suppliers. Based on these results, we aim to set concrete targets to reduce our emissions in the future.

In April 2025, Reuse Group has been rewarded a silver medal By Ecovadis. This medal ranks us among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide in the past year. This recognition reflects the progress we have made in integrating sustainable practices into our operations.

Reuse Trading NV proudly holds the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification. It portrays our commitment to ensuring that our operations meet high standards for sustainability, traceability, and responsible sourcing of biomass and circular materials.

Since 2023, we have actively supported the use of sustainable palm oil. We aim to significantly increase the proportion of sustainably certified palm oil in our supply chain in the future.

Through charitable initiatives and partnerships, we aim to address social needs and promote well-being. By investing in our own community, we reinforce our dedication to sustainable development and responsible corporate citizenship. We have supported different initiatives and organizations both on local and international level, such as Lucia VZW (Belgium), Adem VZW (Belgium) and Teriya VZW (Mali) and the JS Foundation (Tanzania).

In addition, we had the opportunity to support local biodiversity by planting 2,200 trees in Zoersel in collaboration with Natuurpunt.
